Are you as excited as I am to be approaching the final stretch of Winter?! Aside from the constant allergy attacks, I am definitely looking forward to spring! The birds will be chirping, the squirrels will be scurrying, my wardrobe will get a bit brighter and the weather will be nice and toasty! I can go on and on about what I am looking forward to in the spring but I don’t think you came here for that.
At the time of writing this, Fashion Week is still going strong and there is no shortage of style inspiration all over the internet. NYFW has passed and it is currently the middle of Milan Fashion Week. Instagram and Pinterest are keeping me up to date on the chicest street styles and freshest runway fashion.
With all these photos popping up, I can’t help but notice some of the trends for the upcoming Spring and Summer season. And I can honestly say, I like what I am seeing! There are many trends at the moment but I wanted to talk about my favorite few in this post. As the months go on, I will definitely share my other style obsessions of the moment.

PVC/ clear coats and accessories

This look excites me! I love the idea of sheer outerwear that is chic and shows off your outfit underneath! Its edgy and practical. I can see this definitely being a hit during the festival season when it rains but you need everyone to see your carefully thought-out ensemble. I imagine this plastic outer shell will also trap in the heat on some of the cooler days and nights. I am definitely here for this trend!
This coat is currently available at Zara (click here) and almost came home with me today! I decided to wait and see if other retailers bring out other variations since I am looking for a longer one.

I am happy to see clear accessories making a come back. They were kind of hot almost 10yrs (or less) ago and I still have some of my clear necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I love when trends come back around and I can utilize what I already have.

Yes friends, the basket bags and bucket bags are still a thing! They were on fire this past spring and summer, and it looks like it is here to stay another year. I am happy about this because I plan to still rock my basket bag that I found with my grandmother’s old bags.

Are you feeling the comfy feet situation going on right now? I sure am! I cannot wear the high heels all day like I used to so it is refreshing to see so many beautiful outfits dressed down with these super cute “ugly” sneakers. Fashion can be comfortable too ladies!

Fanny packs are still H O T

As you can see, the fanny pack comeback is still going strong! When these popped up everywhere last fall, I was in love. I was used to seeing the frumpy ones in stores and it was great to finally have access to a large selection of chic ones.
