I love to dabble in a good trend or 2, and as always I aim to do so in a way that doesn’t hurt my pockets. And these days, it’s even more important that we save where we can. So in today’s post, I am sharing 7 trends that are hot this summer, my picks from each trend and where to find them.

1. Padded shoulder Tees, please!
One trend that is undoubtably popular this summer is the padded shoulder tees. I mean, you either love it or you hate it…and I LOVE it! It’s a node to 80s and 90s fashion, with a modern twist.
I imagine it is easy enough to make if you have a pair of shoulder pads laying around but I find it easier to just buy this trend and not break the bank doing so. I grabbed myself 2 pairs and they cost as much as other tees I own.
This oatmeal color one is from H&M and its super cozy. I got a large and it truly is just that. So if you grab one, keep in mind that it naturally has a larger slouchy fit. I then grabbed one from Zara in black and the medium fit large as well. I think black will be great for dressed down looks and spiced up for when I want to look more put together. Grab yourself one HERE and a similar one HERE.
2. Bottega Veneta & their dupes
Have you noticed that Bottega Venetta has become a lot more popular in 2019 and 2020? I am seeing their shoes and bags on so many fashionistas lately and I love it all! But I do not love that price point honey so I scouted out a bunch of dupes for us. We can partake in the trend and save thousands. Win-win.

These shoes have been big since last year and I can definitely see why. HERE is a very close dupe and HERE is another one. Oh and a great one HERE.
3. Co-ords/ matching sets are STILL a vibe
These have been hot for a hot minute, and I don’t see this trend dying down any time soon. Last year it was all about the tailored suits and this year the shorts version is in. Also flowy co-ords in fun and vibrant colors are a comfy summer staple.
4. Hats, hats, and more (dramatic) hats!
Oversized and statement hats were huge last summer and not much has changed this year. It just makes sense. They are eye-catching, sun-shading and all around fun. Some smaller hats in fun shapes are also flying off the shelves and I am here for those as well. One fave is THIS one (similar to the one pictured) and another is THIS one. They tend to sell out very quickly so grab them while you see them!
5. Dad sandals
Move over dad sneakers, the dad sandals have taken over. Remember when those chucky sneakers were all the rage last year? Well it’s now their cousin’s time to shine! This super comfy and classic looking shoe style is soooo in. Even all of our favorite luxury brands like Chanel, LV, and more have their sandals in this trend. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about them, but then I saw a bunch that were actually really chic! My favorites are THESE and THESE.
6. Dramatic Sleeves (again)
Dramatic sleeves are IN again, and I’m not mad at it honestly. They have been on trend the last few summers and this year is no different. So if you already indulged in this trend in the past, pull your faves back out! If you haven’t yet, that okay, I got you!
And it’s not only dramatic sleeves, it’s also dramatic shoulders!
7. Chunky GOLD statement jewelry
